National Membership Services

LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY AND REPORTING
NARI National is just minutes from Washington, D.C. It works daily on monitoring federal and regulatory activities for all its members to preserve the security of their livelihood, hearing members voice their legislative views through the NARI BRIGADE.

CONSUMER AWARENESS
NARI continually works to educate the consumer about the benefits of hiring a NARI professional through literature, its Web site and press releases. Articles can also be found in Woman's Day special interest publications and Qualified Remodeler Magazine as well.

CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATION
Certification and education of qualified remodeling contractors is a way to recognize the professional standards of the trade and to continually improve the level of business practices within that industry. The Certified Remodeler (CR), Certified Remodeler Associate or Specialist (CRA/CRS) and Certified Lead Carpenter (CLC) designations show which contractors have sought ongoing education, established high professional and ethical standards, have the ability to perform and be knowledgeable in all aspects of remodeling functions and demonstrate proven competence.

OTHER NATIONAL BENEFITS

Local Membership Services

MONTHLY MEETINGS
Monthly membership meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. These meetings provide an opportunity for members and potential new members to network and discuss common problems associated with the remodeling industry. The meetings also offer opportunities for sales leads and other solid business contacts. A featured guest speaker or exciting program is always scheduled to insure an educational, informative and entertaining morning.

NEWSLETTER
The Remodeler is published as a service to our local members. This approx. ten-page newsletter offers a variety of industrial and local news ranging from member profiles and national legislative issues, to interesting articles by member guest columnists and chapter calendar of events. The newsletter also is utilized as an education tool, and sent to non-members who may be influential to the growth and success of our local chapter and its member interests.

HOME IMPROVEMENT SHOWS
NARI membership participates in the Texas Home & Garden Shows produced by IEI and specifically aimed at the local consumer searching for ideas, goods and services relating to the home improvement industry. Thousands of potential customers are drawn to the Texas Home & Garden Shows at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center each year with remodeling in mind. This shows provide exhibitors with an opportunity to extensively promote their businesses and the remodeling industry.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY
The NARI San Antonio membership directory is printed once a year with over 10,000 copies given to consumers, suppliers, lenders, media, architects, interior designers and other related businesses. Consumers who call the NARI office are mailed a copy free of charge.

LOCAL PUBLICITY
The San Antonio chapter is very active in promoting the professionalism of our NARI members. We conduct ongoing advertising efforts to educate the public about the advantages of doing business with a NARI member. Some advertising media include local TV, consumer news interviews, referrals from City Public Service Home & Lifestyle Show and relationships with the San Antonio Express News and Construction News papers. The Remodeler's Showcase produced by a NARI member also helps get the word out about NARI.

NARI ON THE WEB
NARI is on the Internet at http://www.narisanantonio.com with listings of all members, consumer information and trade information. The NARI San Antonio Web Site Program offers members for a small fee the opportunity to advertise using banner ads on various pages of the NARI website. Members can also apply for links from their listing to their own company website from the Find A NARI Pro page. If you are a NARI member and you would like to update your listing to link to your website please send an email to the NARI San Antonio webmaster Peter Beshay at UNOVA Design with your name, company, website, email address and a 100 word or less description of your company's products and services so we can update the listing.

COMMUNITY SERVICE NARI
San Antonio is active in community service, thus bringing further recognition of our professional status to the attention of the San Antonio community.
